Clifford Playground

The playground at Clifford Park in Boston, Mass., is a colorful world of creativity, movement and discovery. Every detail of this custom playground is inspired by the tools and imagination of an urban artist, from paintbrushes and palettes to bright splashes of color.

For children ages 2 to 5, a custom Weevos® playstructure creates a preschool-sized canvas for climbing, sliding and imaginative play. Children 5 to 12 can climb the custom Super Netplex® tower, which takes the form of an oversized paint can overflowing with color. A vibrant collection of slides descends from the tower and two adjacent structures like spokes on a color wheel, offering thrilling ways back to the ground. Colorful Wobble pod® Bouncer and E-Pod® Steps, a SwiggleKnots® Bridge and a Lolliladder™ create opportunities for balance on rainbow-colored steppers.

Throughout the playground, creative details bring the artist theme to life. A custom springy net climber resembles a painter’s palette, while a custom paintbrush post adds the finishing touch. Colorful sensory play panels invite children to explore tactile, visual and auditory experiences, adding new layers of discovery to the space.

There’s also plenty of opportunity for everyone to join in the fun, with Rhapsody® Outdoor Musical Instruments, a Friendship® Swing, Saddle Spinner, We-Saw™ and We-Go-Round® creating opportunities for music, motion and shared play. Beneath it all, bright paint-splatter-inspired pour-in-place surfacing completes the picture, making Clifford Park a vibrant playground where creativity is always in motion.
