The playground and spray pad at Glencairn Neighborhood Recreation Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan is a collaboration with the Jumpstart organization, which aims to install inclusive playgrounds all across Canada. This playground is a delightful opportunity for children of all abilities to move, climb, soar and even play music! A 7-post Netplex with integrated shade is a center point of the activity for children ages 5 to 12, with springy rope netting that allows easy transfer from mobility devices. A Sway Fun® Glider and We-Go-Round® are wheelchair-accessible freestanding play structures that invite groups of children to play together and experience the fun of spinning and swaying. A nearby swing set has numerous bays with belt seats and rotomolded plastic seats so that kids with varying levels of upper-body strength can enjoy the soaring sensation of swinging. Budding musicians are invited to play on the Rhapsody® chimes, and further sensory fun can be found on the adjacent Aquatix® splash pad. Underfoot, the Jumpstart red pour-in-place rubberized surfacing ensures that every play structure is accessible to all visitors.
