The Extra Special People Playground sits adjacent to a Miracle League baseball field, which offers opportunities for individuals with mental and/or physical challenges to play baseball through custom baseball fields. The playground shares the mission of bringing individuals of all abilities together for play with its fully ramped PlayBooster® playstructure. In addition to the ramps, there are sensory play panels, a custom sensory tunnel, Sway Fun® glider, and various playground slides, climbers, bridges and more so that everyone can enjoy their time in the play space. Set apart from the main playstructure, there are many freestanding play components including the We-Go-Round®, Cozy Domes®, a Double ZipKrooz®, spinners and playground swings. And not to be forgotten, toddlers and preschoolers will find the Loft playstructure packed with 20 activities to help build motor and social/emotional skills. Best of all, SkyWays® shade sails are integrated into the playground to help protect visitors from the elements as they play the day away.
