Mississippi Gateway Regional Park in Brooklyn Park, Minn. sparks fascination with nature and history by enhancing the already dynamic trail system along the Mississippi River. Nestled within the natural topography of the area, the earth-toned playground blends in magically with its surroundings by featuring warm natural colors, wood-like textures, and stone edging. Connecting to the existing raised walking path, the playground becomes a fun stop for visitors while they explore the trail system.

Designed to work with the features of the land and topography, the play experience unfolds along the natural slope at the trail's edge. Custom bridges with acrylic "window" panels span the gaps between the PlayBooster® tower and call to mind historic railroad tunnels from the industrial era. Several slides follow the terrain's downward slope from an upper to a lower trail section, while Log Steppers® lead the way back up the bank, encouraging movement that feels intuitive and adventurous. The multifaceted PlayBooster tower anchors the space with climbing routes, interactive play panels, and a choice of slides.
