Pasadena is a city without a lot of open space. Children living in the multi-family housing near the Lamanda Library Pocket Park played in the driveway and parking lot next to their apartment complex because they had no parks or playgrounds nearby. A city council member noticed and began looking for a place to build a playground. Ten years later, Pasadena residents have the pocket park at Lamanda Park Library.

The play structure for 2- to 5-year-olds is a modern arched Weevos® design with a slide, crawl tunnel and Swiggle Stix® Bridge. Learning panels like the gear panel offer mental stimulation, while a multi-child swing provides the thrill of collaborative swinging. Young children will love the comfort and safety of the rubberized play surfacing, and they will stay cool in the hot California weather under a blue SkyWays® shade structure.
