Cypress Street Playground

The Cypress Street Playground is one of the first sites in the country to be acquired for municipal playground purposes, and a DigiFuse® sign at the entrance to the park explains how the space became a playground on May 22, 1871. Several design iteration since, the Cypress Street Playground is still bringing fun and play opportunities to children and families of the community. The newest playground design takes advantage of the existing topography to create a unique and inclusive play experience. On the custom PlayBooster® playstructure for kids ages 5 to 12, ramps from the elevated berm bring individuals using mobility devices directly to the upper level of the structure allowing ALL a birds-eye view of the play environment. Additionally, playground net climbers, overhead events, slides, bridges and more allow for lots of challenge and fun. Further down the path is an inclusive PlayBooster playstructure designed for kids ages 2 to 5. This custom play space has many sensory panels mixed in with the age-appropriate climbers and playground slides. Even more, custom cabin-like structures offer more play opportunities for kids of all ages and abilities as do the hillside net climbers and playground swings.
