At this safari-themed playground in San Jose, California, kids ages 5 to 12 are greeted by a large lion and several of his friends. A couple of realistic-looking concrete hippos appear to be meandering through the surfacing, and a giraffe offers a built-in marble panel for a tactile experience. Throughout the playground, DGI animal panels are accompanied by custom signage that teach kids how fast a cheetah can run, or that zebra stripes are unique to the individual. The custom PlayBooster^® playstructure is appropriately nature-inspired, incorporating Recycled Wood-Grain panels and roofs. Ramps have been included to make the experience accessible—now all kids can enjoy the safari, including viewing the animals from a custom safari vehicle.
