Principals to Build Playground at Pennsylvania Elementary School

NAESP and Landscape Structures will gift Stonehurst Hills Elementary with a playground structure during the 2017 National Principals Conference in Philadelphia

More than 100 of the nation’s school principals will come together on Saturday, July 8, to build a playground at Stonehurst Hills Elementary School in Upper Darby, Penn. This is the ninth year that the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) has partnered with Landscape Structures to donate and build a playground at a deserving elementary school. This year, principals representing the National Association of Secondary School Principals are joining in the service day, as a component of the jointly presented 2017 National Principals Conference, held July 9-11 in Philadelphia.

NAESP and corporate partner Landscape Structures, a Delano, Minn.-based commercial playground equipment manufacturer, are donating a PlayBooster® playstructure for kids ages 5 to 12 valued at approximately $30,000. The playstructure features the new GeoPlex™ climbing panels in addition to various ground-level climbers, overhead ladders, and bridges and balancing activities. The playground is ADA compliant and was designed to welcome children of all abilities. In addition to building the playground, principal volunteers will do landscaping, painting and other beautification projects at the school.
