Landscape Structures was selected to participate in playground builds in conjunction with the NBA All-Star Weekend. LeBron James and State Farm participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Oak Cliff Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas, which officially opened one set of basketball-theme Evos™ and Weevos™ playsystems. Our affiliate KaBOOM! and NBA Cares hosted nearly 100 volunteers for the community-build installation of the second set of play systems. Despite six inches of snow, volunteers came together to construct the playground at Summit International Preparatory in the community of Arlington, Texas.

We are also taking another big step toward sustainability with the launch of our new recycled Permalene® panels created from recycled, colored plastic household containers - waste materials that would otherwise end up in landfills - and offer a post-consumer recycled content of 73%. Learn how you can select the new recycled color choices on any Permalene panel.
Landscape Structures has a decades-long history of environmental awareness. For nearly 40 years, we’ve helped create healthier children, families and sustainable communities, and have worked hard to create a healthier future for all of us. Long before it was fashionable, Landscape Structures built a culture of sustainability, designing commercial playground equipment that keep kids active, while going far beyond what was required to protect the environment during manufacturing processes. We’ve created a great video that tells our green story. Take a minute, take a look, and then go green!
Landscape Structures and NRPA completed the first-ever study on environmental stewardship attitudes of parks and recreation agencies in the U.S. See highlights here, or download the full presentation.
