Unique
playground designs are currently on display at the 18th Annual
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. The play areas, created by
commercial playground equipment manufacturer Landscape Structures, encourage natural and
sensory play.
The festival, which began on March 2, will continue through May 15. In addition to the
playgrounds, families can view an array of colorful flowers, gardens, topiaries and kid-friendly presentations.
One of the playgrounds, located in the Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden, allows kids to experience the outdoors while they play on the safe structure. The magical
playground features a PlayShaper Tree House from the manufacturing company that resembles a real tree.
The "Let's Get Moving" garden at the exhibit boasts an Evos playground, which is designed to help kids exercise while they play. This is part of Landscape Structure's ongoing effort to combat childhood obesity and promote
healthy kids.
Landscape Structures has participated in the
EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival over a period of 10 years. They have worked together to provide youngsters with safe, fun, creative and healthy play areas for sensory play and
nature-inspired playgrounds that also honor the environment.
