Säjai® Foundation

Healthier Kids. Healthier Communities. Healthier World.

The Säjai® Foundation is a national nonprofit dedicated to teaching children why to value and how to live a healthier life by encouraging them to experience the outdoors, to be active and to make smart nutrition decisions. It provides easy-to-implement healthy lifestyle programs that give children, ages 6 to 11, hands-on experience in making healthy eating, activity and outdoor exploration choices during afterschool programs.

 

The Säjai Foundation was created by Barb King, cofounder of Landscape Structures, Inc., as a result of her passion for children, her commitment to healthy living and concern for the future of all of us.

Healthy Kids Scholarship Program

Landscape Structures is sponsoring 10 classrooms or afterschool programs in reaching 1,000 children with wellness and outdoor education through its Healthy Kids Scholarship Program. Healthier students are better students; they have better attendance and perform better in class.

 

 Apply for the Healthy Kids Scholarship Program, and be one of 10 schools chosen to receive a Wise Kids® program kit (up to a $1,150 value). Each scholarship winner will have the choice of a Wise Kids kit to serve up to 100 children. The Wise Kids® curriculum targets children ages 6 to 11. Wise Kids offers a 9-session evaluated wellness program teaching kids to make healthy nutrition and activity choices. Wise Kids Outdoors is a 20-session evaluated program that gets children back outdoors, learning about environmental stewardship and nature with an underlying wellness theme. Kits are available for up to 100 participants.
