Landscape Structures is proud to partner with like-minded organizations. We work with these organizations because we support their mission to improve the lives of children through play. Giving children access to safe and fun outdoor playground equipment gives them an opportunity to be more active and healthy.
American Forests
Since January 2007, Landscape Structures has partnered with American Forests to directly offset the carbon dioxide (CO2) produced in our manufacturing processes. We make donations that are used to purchase enough trees to offset the total amount of CO2 generated for each play system produced in our Delano, Minn., production facilities.
Our partnership with American Forests has supported the planting of more than 35,000 trees per year, on average. In total, we have planted nearly 500,000 trees!
American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)
Landscape Structures is proud to collaborate with landscape architects to create playground environments, and we’re proud to sponsor ASLA. Our chairman, Steve King, FASLA, is a licensed landscape architect and a member of the distinguished ASLA Council of Fellows. In 2015, our president, Pat Faust, was awarded Honorary ASLA Membership.
City Parks Alliance
The City Parks Alliance supports the creation, revitalization and sustainability of urban parks and green spaces. As members, we network with civic and community leaders, government agencies, parks and recreation authorities and more to educate the public on the importance of parks.
Epcot®
Since 2001, Landscape Structures has partnered with Epcot® and its preeminent landscape architects to create magical play environments for children of all ages during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Each year, our playground equipment is nestled among natural elements to help reinforce the importance of integrating plants and flowers among manufactured equipment.

New to the EPCOT® International Flower & Garden Festival this year is the Imagination Garden, which integrates play into the natural environment. Nestled among the flowers, trees and other landscaping elements is a maze of play.
Kids of all ages can navigate the playground tunnels to discover fossil digs and Rhapsody® Outdoor Musical Instruments. Upon finding their way out of the maze, kids ages 2 to 5 find more playground fun with the Hillscape climber, pod steppers and leaf panels while kids ages 5 to 12 can traverse their way up and around the Lunar Burst® Net Climber. The play space design truly plays off the aesthetics of the surrounding landscape design.

FitLot® is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities find the resources they need to plan, build and activate outdoor fitness parks. FitLot believes that strong neighbors make strong neighborhoods and that everyone deserves to enjoy the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. Jumpstart, a national charity in Canada, believes organized sports connect kids to their communities and help kids fulfill their dreams.
Jumpstart’s vision is to create accessible playgrounds in every province and territory across Canada. In partnership with Landscape Structures, Jumpstart’s mission is to ensure that these playgrounds become the standard for inclusivity by creating imaginative and accessible spaces where children of all abilities can play together. Jumpstart's hope is that these playgrounds will become a destination - a gathering place - for communities to unite around play.

KABOOM! inspires communities to make play the easy choice and works to drive the national discussion about the importance of PLAYces. Kanics Inclusive Design Services
Kanics Inclusive Design Services, LLC, founded by Ingrid Kanics, focuses on the creation and operation of inclusive indoor and outdoor play spaces. Ingrid is an occupational therapist with a Masters in Interior Architecture with an emphasis on inclusive, sustainable design who strives to help communities create and run amazing places where people of all abilities can play together.
Ingrid's personal journey began when she acquired a spinal cord injury while in the U.S. Army, resulting in spinal surgery and 18 months of rehab. Despite her recovery, Ingrid still experiences deficits from her injury. To reduce fatigue, she alternates her mobility between walking and rolling (in a wheelchair). When walking, she depends upon her right side for sensory information, and upon her left side for stability. This daily mental dance, her bi-mobility and other experiences related to her injury deeply influence her work of helping communities expand their understanding of inclusion for all.
Ingrid presents at local, state and national conferences on the topics of play, sensory processing and Universal Design. We're proud to have partnered with Kanics Inclusive Design since 2010.

National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA)
We value the dedicated work of NRPA and believe that by working together, we can help create healthy children and sustainable communities now and in the future. STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder
STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder (STAR Institute) was formed in 2016 from two merged organizations–the Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Foundation and the STAR Center. The STAR Institute provides premier treatment, education and research for children, adolescents, and adults with SPD. We have collaborated to create a sensory playground at the STAR Institute in Greenwood Village, Colo, which is helping move SPD therapy outdoors. We're honored to have Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, the founder of these organizations on as our Inclusive Play Partner to learn more about how therapy in natural settings—especially playgrounds—helps treat children touched by the disorder. Inclusion Matters® by Shane’s Inspiration
Landscape Structures is pleased to partner with Inclusion Matters® by Shane's Inspiration toward a common goal of promoting play for children of all abilities. Together, we've created nearly 50 Universally Accessible Playgrounds including the first in Mexico and Ecuador. Plus, we're excited to have collaborated with Shane's Inspiration on playground projects for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. Shane's Inspiration has taken accessible playgrounds to a whole new level, not only helping communities build these beautiful play environments from conception to completion, but also ensuring that they are utilized through inclusive play programming. Sustainable Sites Initiative™ (SITES™)
Landscape Structures is proud to support the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES), which provides professionals and individuals information for making environmentally preferable choices in their landscape and outdoor projects. The SITES program is a collaboration between the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, the United States Botanic Garden and ASLA among others to develop guidelines and standards for landscape sustainability.
Too Small to Fail
Too Small to Fail, the early childhood initiative of the Clinton Foundation, promotes the importance of early brain and language development and supports parents with tools to talk, read, and sing with their young children from birth. Today, 60 percent of children in the United States start kindergarten unprepared, lagging behind their peers in critical language and reading skills. Through partnerships with pediatricians, hospitals, faith-based leaders, community based organizations, businesses, entertainment industry leaders, and others,
Too Small to Fail is meeting parents where they are to help them prepare their children for success in school and beyond. Whether at the pediatrician’s office or the playground, Too Small to Fail aims to make small moments big by creating opportunities for meaningful interactions anytime, anywhere. Too Small to Fail works at the national and local levels to reach parents and caregivers through strategically using media, building national partnerships and implementing the “Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing” community campaign in localities across the country.
Too Small to Fail partners with Landscape Structures to reach parents of young children across the country. Joint efforts would leverage each organization’s reach into local communities across the country to promote children’s early brain and vocabulary development through play. Learn more.
The Miracle League
The Miracle League® offers opportunities for children with mental and/or physical challenges to play baseball through custom baseball fields. We are honored to be the official playground partner of The Miracle League.
