LeBron James Family Foundation

In 2007, LeBron James, forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and his mother, Gloria, created the LeBron James Family Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to empower children to be physically fit, academically focused and environmentally aware, and empowers single parent families to succeed.

 

Landscape Structures is proud to partner with the LeBron James Family Foundation, to help provide playgrounds that encourage kids to stay fit and be active.

NBA All-Star Builds

For three consecutive years, Landscape Structures has worked with the LeBron James Family Foundation in partnership with State Farm as part of the NBA All-Star weekends  to install basketball-themed playsystems. In March 2008, an Evos™ playground was constructed at the St. Bernard Recreation Center in New Orleans, which was rebuilt in September 2006 after being destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. In Feb. 2009, Evos™ + Weevos™ playsystems were installed at the Robson Boys and Girls Club in Phoenix, Ariz. Most recently, a new Evos™ playsystem was unveiled at the Oak Cliff Boys and Girls Club in Feb. 2010. See a video clip of the 2010 playground unveil.

 

"Our goal continues to encourage kids to stay fit and be active," James said in a statement.
